Thank you to everyone who has reached out to show support and encouragement. Sharing what Icehouse means to you and sending good energy our way has given us a lot of relief. It really means a lot and gives us the energy to keep doing this. Our cause is truly the people’s cause.

The hearing is May 7th. Conversations have been very positive and we need to put our best offer forward to the landlord and the court to help our fight to survive. We do not want to be forced to close Icehouse, rather we see a path forward to sustain the venue. The business is struggling financially, but we are seeing progress in our recovery and feel this club is too important to the music scene and the community to close! We are determined to survive and need your help.

Many have asked how to help financially, so if you are willing and moved to donate, please do so by May 7th. We are humbled by any level of financial support. If you are able to give at higher levels, we definitely will make you feel extra special by hosting you and your friends as special guests at coming events.

An Iconic Minnesota Venue Steeped in History

Built in 1868 to store lake ice, Icehouse has been transformed into a lively music club in the heart of Minneapolis famed Eat Street.

Since opening in 2011, Icehouse’s mission has been the same; provide a fun and uncompromising space for music fans and bands to come together and do their thing. As the reputation and event calendar grew in the early years, bigger and bigger bands took notice of Icehouse’s unique environment and uncompromising commitment to the live experience. Beyond live shows, Icehouse grew into a place where locals could grab a drink with friends, take in a comedy show, or dance all night.

Today, Icehouse is an iconic music club that operates at the highest levels of service, sound, and ambiance in the Twin Cities. The past few years, have been brutal to the club and music scene, but Icehouse has prevailed due to the phenomenal support of our local community and the musicians that have breathed the soul into the club.
